The Marblehead Nationals were sailed at Manor Park last weekend, and once again were won by Brad Gibson.
Andrea Roberts also had an excellent performance and finished 4th overall in a highly competitive fleet.

It’s a busy September
Starting at Birkenhead on 15th September when we host the Dragonforce DF65 Northern District Championship, then on 16th September Keighley for the IOM Northern District Championship, and a week later on 22nd September we host the RG65 TT Series.
If you want to practice for the DF65 or RG65 events, we also have DF6F/RG65 series racing this coming Saturday 8th September – all MYA members are welcome to attend and race.
Full Notices of Race are available for download below for our main events and also the Keighley IOM Championship but to summarise – both events at Birkenhead, racing starts at 10am prompt. Registration from 8.30am and no race to start after 4pm or heat to finish after 5pm.
Entry is £5. Hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase in the clubhouse (bring your own lunch).

Marblehead Racing Postponed
Unfortunately, this Saturday’s planned Marblehead racing at West Kirby has had to be postponed.
Details of any re-arranged racing will be posted here when they are confirmed.
Marbleheads at West Kirby this coming Saturday
A reminder to all that the M class will be sailing at West Kirby lake this coming Saturday and not at Gautby Road. Entry is open to non-club members.
Graham Elliott has requested that anyone planning on attending (club member or not) please contact him (elliottyachts@hotmail.co.uk) so that he has an idea of the number of people turning up.

Vintage Sailing Day Cancelled
Due to unforeseen circumstances Andrew will not be available to host the vintage sailing day planned for this coming weekend. The clubhouse will therefore not be open and the event is cancelled.

7th July IOM racing postponed
As there are several other regional races taking place on 7th and also the small matter of the England Quarter Final match taking place on the same day we have decided the racing is better moved to an alternative date to ensure a good turnout.
The IOM racing scheduled for 7th July will now be held on 11th August instead.
