The North Wind doth Blow

IMG_3402_v1..and we shall have snow, or in this case hail.

That didn’t stop 9 Dragonforce owners turning up for today’s racing, but in the end only 4 brave souls with ‘C’ rigs ventured onto the water and even they decided to call it a day after a particular vicious hailstorm swept through at the end of race 8.

In the strong winds, survival was definitely the name of the game but those who did sail all appeared to be enjoying themselves.

8 races, 8 boats

With strong winds forecast, the light/non-existent/variable winds which actually prevailed saw most skippers have both bad and good results, and in the end only 5 points separated the first 5 positions with a count-back being required to decide the overall victory.

The series results are also very finely poised with one race remaining and only 2 points difference between 2nd and 4th positions.
