Strong winds caused havoc within the fleet and after two races everyone changed to B rig. Even so, the boats were still imitating submarines on the downwind leg and causing gear failure. The sailor of the day had to be Dave Pickup who had five non starts and yet managed fourth overall

Your committee would like to invite all club members to the AGM to be held on Saturday 19 November 2016 at 2.00pm at The Royal Mersey Yacht Club at Rock Ferry who have kindly agreed to host us again.
Their address and a location map can be found at:
http://www.royalmersey-yc.co.uk/contact/
The club is the last development on the right as you go up Bedford Road East away from the Refreshment Room pub/restaurant.
Park on the road or, if you’re early, in the yard. Pass through the gates and the yard to find the clubhouse entrance (steps leading to a large blue door) on the far left.
The bar will be open from 1:30pm and sandwiches will be provided after the meeting.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Copies of the Agenda and Proposals documents are attached to this post in pdf format.
In the words of Dave Williams:
The racing today was very disappointing, no wind. Seven turned up, Colin’s boat had servo problems and did not make a start. I was not going to sail with lack of wind.
Still, the other brave souls did manage to sail but it was taking over 20 minutes to complete a race, and it was a very short course.
The results were interesting as three had equal points, equal positions so it was done on the result of the last race.
