It was great to see young skipper Andrew Benson have a full days racing with Ernie rice kindly stepping in to perform the PRO duties and loaning his boat to Andrew. Well done Ernie.

RM Alpha Cup, 30/6/12

A big thank you to the club members who turned for our second Clean Up of the year in preparation for next weekends IOM National Veterans Championship.

RM racing took place with 10 boats in a tricky SW breeze which made the going tough for competitors. The wind was gusting anywhere between light A rig to hard C rig and Martin Roberts showed a return to form with a solid performance.

RM Hamburg Cup 19/5/12

A very light and fickle ENE wind made the conditions tough for the 8 skippers competing. The fleet welcomed another converted IOM skipper to RMs for the first time with Richard Hampson having a good first up day in second place after some close races at the front with Brad, Vernon and Jim.

RM Hornby Cup, 28/4/12

The Hornby Cup for Radio Marbleheads had 11 skippers in total with some very close racing had in the gusty NE conditions. Setting a true course with a long beating leg was tricky at times, but there was enough shifting in the wind to reward those who worked had for it. It was great to see relative RM newcomers Bill Culshaw and Jim Findlay scoring low scores, along with the re-emergence of World Champion Martin Roberts sailing #55 joining in from race 6 onwards. With the prospect of a couple more boats joining us soon, the RMs at Birkenhead are strengthening once again, come and join us.
