Birkenhead RS&PC – Home of Champions

As the 2017 season draws to a close, we can safely say that competitive racing is continuing to thrive at Birkenhead and our skippers continue to achieve fantastic results at open events.

Proof of this is the ACERSAIL statistics collated by John Smith at Gosport MYBC.

The 2017 results  again show Birkenhead RS&PC at the top of the “league” and improving on our 2016 score (when we were also top).

The only area we lag ever so slightly on is our number of members entering open events, so if you haven’t tried visiting another club’s event, this coming year could be the time to do it – judging by the results of the members that do travel, you might be pleasantly surprised.

If you aren’t already a member of the club, feel free to come along for a chat and watch us on any of our racing days (see calendar)

From the Acersail Home Page:

What is ACERSAIL?
ACERSAIL is the acronym for the MYA Radio League (Affiliated Clubs Encouraging Radio SAILing).  It’s principal objective is to further clubs’ enthusiasm for open racing and to encourage club members to enter Open events, both at their Home Water and at Away events in support for their club.
